Caring for those who care:

A necessary perspective

We already know how important the mother-child bond is for a child’s development, but we are still far from shifting the focus from the baby to look at

Psychology professionals are also subject to high levels of burnout due to the conditions and challenges of their profession. They also need a space for exchange and listening.

Parents are feeling lost amidst so much information and unsolicited advice, often coming from people with no qualifications. They don’t realize that they need to look at themselves, become aware, and recognize their limits.

They are unaware of child development theories and want to know how to best educate their children.

It is not necessary to be ill to seek a professional. Perinatal psychology also works in prevention, fostering a lighter and more conscious postpartum and parenting experience.

IPE is the place to care for those who care. To take care of oneself. We need to listen, inform, welcome, form maternal and parenting support networks, and bring together professionals in the field for study and exchange.

Only then can we truly have a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to the delicate issues of perinatality, postpartum, and parenting.
