ABOUT ME

Julia V. M. Veras

I am from Belo Horizonte, mother of Matheus and Beatriz. I have a degree in Psychology from UFMG, a teaching degree in Portuguese and English from UNIFRAN, and a Ph.D. in Literature (Literary Studies) from UFMG | Université Paris 8. I have over 15 years of clinical experience with adults and, since 2016, I have also focused on postpartum, perinatality, and parenting. I lead the IPE – Perinatal Institute. I have lived in Belo Horizonte, Paris, and Campinas. Today, I reside in Uberaba, where I offer in-person consultations. I also teach courses and provide online consultations in Portuguese, French, and English. Since the pandemic, I have expanded my practice to offer online support to Brazilians or intercultural couples living abroad, especially in France, Ireland, and Canada. My experience living outside my home country—and now outside my city—aligns with my broad interest and research in literature and clinical practice. This has enabled me to recognize and support individuals in the migration or expatriation process and all the emotional aspects involved.   Learn more about my background: CRP 04/ 29013   Training Courses
